What type of tow bar (tow hook) do you have?

We would like to warn you to pay attention to the appearance of your car's towbar. Car manufacturers have started installing new towbars (towing hooks) Fix4Bike. Below you can see a graphic representation of such hooks and a representation of a regular hook next to it.

If you can find two screws under the tow ball head, you must choose the Thule XT F. Otherwise, you can choose other Thule bike carriers*.

Important information about holders installed on the drawbar

  1. The towbar mounting bracket cannot be attached to towbars that are only made of aluminum or GGG40 (cast iron).
  2. The towing hook and the cylindrical part of the towbar 2 cm below the towing hook must be made of steel. Aluminum can only be a tow hook holder.
  3. The total weight of the holder and the load cannot exceed the permissible drawbar power. Towbar power information can be found on the plate attached to the towbar or in the car's information brochure.
