LOCTITE HY 4070 Universal Bonder

LOCTITE® HY 4070 is a 2-part, cloudy colorless or pale yellow cyanoacrylate/acrylic hybrid universal filler/adhesive that provides rapid setting at room temperature in gaps up to 5 mm.

It works well on a variety of substrates, including most plastics, rubbers and metals.
It is used where completely dry excess adhesive is required, as well as resistance to temperature changes and humidity.
Best application results are achieved with the LOCTITE cyanoacrylate mixing tip (tip fits HY 4070 and LOCTITE 3090).

Instructions for use:
1. The contact areas must be clean and free of grease. Clean all surfaces with Loctite® cleaning solvent and allow to dry.
2. Parts A and B must be mixed before use. The product can be squeezed directly from the cartridge with the supplied plunger through the recommended mixing nozzle.
3. Hold the cartridge upright and insert the plunger.
4. While holding the cartridge in an upright position, remove the cap, attach the mixing nozzle and begin to push the adhesive upwards until any bubbles in the smaller adhesive component are removed.
5. Extrude and discard a strip of adhesive the same length and width as the mixing tip to ensure sufficient mixing.
6. Mix the glue on one of the surfaces to be joined. The parts must be assembled immediately after the glue is mixed.
7. The surface must be kept compressed until the adhesive sets.
8. Try not to move the assembled parts. The adhesive must be fully cured before any operational loading (usually 24 hours).

Storage:
Keep the product in an unopened container in a dry place. Storage information can be found on the product container label. Optimal storage: 2°C to 21°C. Storage below 2°C or above 21°C may adversely affect product properties.
