Contact heater systems can be divided into two different groups:
Contact heaters consist of an aluminum cast element adapted to the installation location. Oil sump contact heaters heat the oil instead of the coolant. The increase in engine block temperature caused by a contact oil sump heater is not directly comparable to an engine heater that heats the coolant. Thermal paste is applied to the contact surfaces to improve the heat transfer from the heater to the engine block or oil sump.
Engine preheater heaters, MKMS cable sets and GL series cables are selected strictly according to the car model.

To maximize the output from the preheating system with minimum energy consumption and environmental impact, use the connection periods shown in the table below.

Use either an external outdoor timer or an integrated programmable Calix Bluetooth timer to simplify planning and the use of the preheating system.
