Thread sealant. Medium strength. Designed to seal fine threads of hydraulic, pneumatic and general purpose system connections. Hardens quickly. LOCTITE® 542 is designed to fix and seal metal pipes and fittings and other cylindrical assemblies of metal parts. The product cures in an airless environment between tightly fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from impact and vibration. The thixotropy of LOCTITE 542 reduces the migration of uncured product applied to the part.
