Glow plug

Glow plugs are a must to ensure good engine starting, especially in cold weather. At certain temperatures, the engine will not start without good glow plugs. Additional heat must be introduced into the combustion chamber to ensure that the auto-ignition temperature is reached, even in harsh conditions such as winter cold or "cold" starting. Known as pre-ignition preheating, this process is perfectly performed by glow plugs. In this sense, a glow plug acts like an immersion heater, with an electric current that heats the glow plug to a very high temperature of up to 1350 °C.
