Tammers - Radiator grille cover

The radiator shroud effectively prevents direct wind and snow from entering the engine compartment, reducing the time it takes for the engine to reach normal operating temperature.

The cover is recommended especially for diesel cars in winter when outside temperatures drop to +5 degrees or below. The radiator cover effectively prevents direct wind and snow from entering the engine compartment, reducing the possibility of freezing, for example, the exhaust pipe. With the radiator shroud in place, the engine reaches its normal operating temperature faster.

The cover should be removed when the outside temperature reaches plus temperatures to prevent the engine from overheating. Keep an eye on the gauge showing the temperature of the car's engine and remove the cover immediately if you notice the engine temperature rising higher than normal. On cars without an engine temperature gauge, remove the cover as soon as the engine temperature indicator lights up. Engine overheating is not necessarily caused by the cover, so keep an eye on the engine temperature even with the cover off.

Depending on the location of the sensor that measures the outside temperature, the car's outside temperature display may show an incorrect temperature when the cover is fitted. The radiator shroud shall always be mounted above the front bumper air intake or radiator grille, as if the shroud is mounted too deeply, in an inconspicuous location, it may affect the engine air intake and damage the engine.

It is recommended to remove the radiator shroud when washing the car.

This is a general installation instruction for all car models. If you are unsure about fitting the radiator grille cover, please contact the dealer of the product.

  1. Open the packaging.
  2. The package contains all the parts needed for installation. We recommend using a flat-blade screwdriver as an auxiliary tool.
  3. The length of the hook-shaped mounting parts may vary depending on the car model. The fasteners are mainly used in the upper and lower parts. On some car models, the fasteners are also located on the sides or in the middle.Holes are prepared in the fastening points of the fairing. Before fitting the first fastener, check the length of all fasteners and check where fasteners of different lengths should be fitted.
  4. Insert the fixing hook through the prepared grill hole.
  5. Place the grill cover (on the air inlet in the bumper or on the radiator grille).
  6. There is a slot at the end of the fixing for a flat screwdriver. Using the screwdriver, push the centre of the fastening hook downwards so that the hook is at the other end of the fastener. The screwdriver can be used to rotate the hook in different directions to secure it to the correct fixing point.
  7. Repeat the previous step with all fasteners.
  8. Installation complete
