If you want to save some money and learn a useful skill, you can change your car's oil by yourself. It's not very difficult, but you need to have the right tools and materials. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Gather the necessary tools and materials. You will need an oil filter wrench from Kamasa Tools or BGS Technic, an oil drain pan like, a socket set, a new oil filter, new engine oil, an oil funnel, and a new oil filter gasket if it not included with new oil filter. You will also need some rags, a rubber mallet, safety glasses, and a container for the used oil.

2. Choose the right oil and oil filter for your car. Check your owner's manual for the recommended oil type and quantity for your engine. You can also use an online tool like Oil Selector from different oil brands to find the best oil for your car. For this example, we will use Liqui Moly synthetic oil, which is made in Germany and has excellent performance and protection properties. Liqui Moly offers different oil grades for different engines, so make sure you pick the one that matches your car's specifications. You will also need a compatible oil filter from a reputable brand like Knecht - Mahle Original, Mann Filter, BluePrint and others we offering in our shop. The oil filter is responsible for removing dirt and debris from the oil, so it's important to choose a quality one that fits your car.

3. Prepare your car for the oil change. Park your car on a level surface and let the engine cool down for a few minutes. Then, jack up the car and secure it with jack stands or ramps. Locate the oil drain plug and the oil filter underneath the car. You may need to remove some plastic covers or shields to access them. Place the oil drain pan under the drain plug and loosen it with a socket wrench. Be careful not to burn yourself with the hot oil. Let the old oil drain out completely and then replace the drain plug with a new gasket. Tighten it with the wrench but don't overdo it.

4. Remove the old oil filter and install the new one. Use the oil filter wrench to unscrew the old filter and make sure the rubber seal comes off with it. If not, peel it off from the engine block. Before installing the new filter, pre-fill it with some new oil and lubricate the seal with some oil as well. This will help create a better seal and prevent dry starts. Screw the new filter on by hand until it's snug, then give it another quarter turn with the wrench.

5. Add some extra products to improve your engine's performance and protection. If you want to give your engine some extra care, you can add some products that can enhance its performance and protection. For example, you can use an engine flush from Liqui Moly or Sonax to clean out any sludge or deposits from your engine before changing the oil. Just pour it into the old oil and run the engine for 10 minutes before draining it out. You can also use an oil additive like Liqui Moly Ceratec, which is a ceramic-based product that reduces friction and wear in your engine. Just add it to the new oil before pouring it into the engine.

6. Pour in the new oil and check the level. Use an oil funnel to pour in the new oil into the engine through the filler cap on top of the engine. Check your owner's manual for how much oil you need to add, or use a dipstick to measure the level. Don't overfill or underfill your engine with oil, as this can cause problems later on. Once you have added enough oil, replace the filler cap and start the engine for a few seconds to circulate the oil through the system.

7. Dispose of the used oil and filter properly. Don't just dump them in the trash or down the drain, as this can harm the environment and get you in trouble with the law. Instead, take them to a recycling center or an auto parts store that accepts used oil and filters for free or for a small fee.
